Your Complete Habesha Measurement Guide

Get the right fit for every traditional garment. Available in English, Amharic and Tigrinya.

Buying Habesha clothing online? The single most important thing you can do before ordering is take proper measurements. A well-fitted kemis, zuria or men’s shirt looks completely different from one that is a size off.

We put together a full interactive guide that covers every garment type we sell. Below is a quick overview of what you need to know, plus a direct link to our step-by-step measurement tool.

Quick Tips Before You Start

Use a flexible fabric measuring tape, not a metal one. Wear thin, fitted clothing and stand up straight.

If possible, get someone to help you. It is much easier when you are not trying to reach around your own back.

Write each number down as you go. You will need them when placing a custom order or choosing the right size from our shop.

How to Place a Custom Order

From browsing to delivery, here is how the made-to-measure process works.

1

Browse and Choose

Visit our Custom Orders section. Pick the garment style you want and add it to your basket.

2

Submit Your Measurements

During checkout, you will be asked to enter your body measurements. Use our Size Guide to get accurate numbers.

3

Get a Quote

Our team reviews your request and sends a quote based on the garment, fabric and any customisation. No hidden fees.

4

Confirm and Wait

Once you approve the quote and pay, our artisans start crafting your piece. You will receive tracking details when it ships.

What You Can See Before Ordering

Every garment listed in our Custom Orders section shows fabric options, design details and a base price. You can review everything before committing.

If you have questions about a specific style or want to request something not listed, reach out to us via the contact page or send us a message through the order notes.

We respond to all custom requests within 24 to 48 hours.
